Administrators can enter the script or cmdlet in the space provided; it will be executed once the group object is created.
ADManager Plus enables you to modify Active Directory groups by just selecting the group and importing the members or selecting from the list of users. This eliminates the necessity for selecting individual Active Directory users and modifying their association with the respective AD groups. The scope of the groups will be immutable for security concerns.
Unlike native Active Directory where you can modify attributes of only a single member at a time, ADManager Plus allows bulk modification of users' group attributes. Active Directory (AD) groups are used to manage AD objects as a single unit. These groups make it easier to grant access permissions and distribute messages in one go. These groups can be used to grant access to network resources like printers, files, folders, and more. Permissions assigned to a group will apply to all the members of that group. These groups can also be mail-enabled groups and used as distribution lists to send out e-mails in Microsoft Exchange servers.
Distribution groups are exclusively used to distribute messages to a group of users. The mail-enabled members of distribution groups will receive the messages addressed to those groups. These groups can only be used with e-mail applications like Microsoft Exchange and cannot be used to manage the access permissions.
Security groups in AD can be created using native tools, like Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) console, or using AD management applications like ADManager Plus. Group creation using native tools is quite complex and involves scripting, unlike ADManager Plus, you can create groups in bulk with the help of group creation templates and CSV files, assign permissions, and add members all at once.
