Moving Active Directory users from one OU to another in bulk

This page describes how to bulk move Active Directory users from one organizational unit (OU) to another using ADManager Plus. While the native tools and PowerShell make this task cumbersome and tiring, ADManager Plus let you accomplish this in just a few mouse clicks.

Moving a User Account

You may need to move a user account from one OU to another when:

A user gets transferred from one department to another in an organization.
A user's account becomes inactive.
A user's account has been disabled.

Different methods of moving user accounts using ADManager Plus

You can move AD users in bulk from one OU to another with ADManager Plus using any of the following methods:

Importing the list of users to be moved from a CSV file.
Search and locate the desired users and move them to the target OU.
Move the users from the desired AD reports of ADManger Plus, i.e., generate an Inactive User or Disabled Users report and move them to the appropriate container.
