Organizations across the globe continue to depend on emails for quick and secure transfer of critical business information and data. With exchange of information being crucial for every organization to ensure uninterrupted execution of day-to-day operations for achieving the organization objectives, managing employees' mailboxes is one of the prime responsibilities of every Exchange Server administrator.
Managing Exchange mailboxes using traditional Exchange Server management tools such as Exchange Management Console (EMC), Exchange Control Panel (ECP), Exchange Administrative Console (EAC), PowerShell scripts, etc. is nothing but a struggle. Besides constantly switching between multiple tools, you have struggle with an unintuitive and unfriendly UI. It is a struggle that you certainly do not have to go through, especially when there is an easy and simple alternative.
Unlike the native Exchange tools, ADManager Plus, the web-based Exchange Server management software allows you to manage Exchange mailboxes with simple point-n-click and script free actions. Further, it also offers predefined functions for common Exchange tasks to help you to manage Exchange mailboxes quickly and easily, immaterial of whether you are running on Exchange Server 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016.
Right from its single web-based console, this Exchange Server and Active Directory management software allows you to:
Create Exchange mailboxes: This feature allows creation of Exchange mailboxes for multiple users in your Active Directory in just a single action. Besides specifying the naming format, the Exchange Server and the mailbox store in which the mailboxes have to be created, you can also enable mailbox archiving for all the mailboxes being created, right at the time of creating them.
This tool also offers customizable user provisioning templates using which you can create Exchange mailboxes, Lync, Office 365 and Google Workspace accounts for users, right at the time of creating new accounts for them in the Active Directory.
Disable Exchange Mailboxes: Unlike the conventional/native Exchange management tools, this ADManager Plus allows you to disable multiple Exchange mailboxes in bulk, at just the click of a mouse button. To make this task even simpler, this tool offers a CSV import option which allows you to fetch the list of users whose mailboxes have to be disabled from a CSV file.
Delete Exchange Mailboxes: You can delete the Exchange mailboxes of your Active Directory users en masse using this feature. With its bulk mailbox deletion capability, this tool saves you the pain of toggling between multiple tools or struggling with PowerShell scripts for deleting Exchange mailboxes.
Modify SMTP address: This feature helps you add new proxy addresses or remove the existing proxy addresses of your users. Further, this feature allows you to modify the proxy addresses of both mailbox-enabled as well as mail-enabled users.
Exchange Mailbox Migration: ADManager Plus turns the complex task of migrating Exchange mailboxes, from one version to another, into a simple UI based activity with this feature. All that you have to do is select the target Exchange Server and mailbox store or database, and specify the users whose mailboxes have to be migrated; the specified mailboxes will be moved to the new version of Exchange Server. Migrating Exchange mailboxes becomes as simple as that.
Manage Exchange (2010/2013/2016) Policies: For Exchange Server 2010, 2013 and 2016 environments, this feature allows you to apply Exchange policies such as Sharing, Role Assignment, Retention, ActiveSync and UM policies to users' mailboxes. If you wish to change/update the policies already applied to an Exchange mailbox, and apply a different set of policies instead, this feature can help you do that too.
Manage Exchange Features: This feature helps you to grant (enable) or deny (disable) users the permission to access their emails/Exchange data via the internet (Outlook Web Access - OWA), or mobile devices (Outlook Mobile Access - OMA), synchronize the Exchange data (ActiveSync) in their mobile devices with the data in the server and enable or disable IMAP4, POP3 and MAPI protocols. A huge advantage of this feature: you can enable/disable all the desired Exchange features in one single action for multiple users.
Modify naming attributes: Modifying the email alias and the display names of users, and specifying a different naming format for both them becomes very easy with this feature. You can even create your own naming format as per the naming conventions in your organization, and also specify whether the users should be hidden or displayed in the Exchange address lists.
Set Mailbox Rights: Mailboxes continue to be one of the rich sources of confidential and sensitive data. Therefore, specifying who can access a user's mailbox and the actions that they can perform on the mailbox are of paramount importance. Configuring or modifying the mailbox permissions for every user's mailbox one after the other, based on the user's role or position in the organizational hierarchy will take forever. Using ADManager Plus though, you can set or manage the mailbox rights for the mailboxes of multiple users in one swift action.
Manage Mailbox Storage Limits: Using this feature, you can configure all the required mailbox storage limits or settings at one go. You can specify the size limit at which a warning has to be issued to the user about mailbox size utilization, sending of emails or both sending and receiving of emails should be prohibited, and the time frame to retain the items deleted from the mailbox, for multiple user mailboxes at just the click of a mouse button.
Besides the above tasks, this web-based tool is also loaded with features to help you manage the email delivery options, delivery restrictions and also assign Exchange Offline Address Book for users. In addition to Exchange Server management, this tool also helps you manage you Active Directory objects with ease via its predefined task templates for routine and repetitive Active Directory management tasks.
This tool can even reduce the burden on your IT administrators through its built-in automation and help desk delegation capabilities. It also simplifies reporting with 150+ out-of-the-box reports which include exclusive Active Directory reports, Exchange Server reports and Office 365 reports.
