Our work environment at League Data has always been traditional in how we manage devices, on-premises or remotely connected to VPN. We have been using Desktop Central for several years but migrated to the cloud version last year. It removed some handcuffs of an on-premises solution. This need was amplified with the COVID-19 disruption! With the desire to be a more flexible and mobile organization, we were required to make some adjustments. Like most other companies, this was expedited by the COVID-19 pandemic. With our offices closed or restricted access, we decided to move some of our infrastructure to the cloud. We previously used the on-premises ManageEngine Desktop Central product for a variety of requirements. Inventory of hardware and software, patch management, and remote access to name a few. To eliminate the need for in-office network/VPN requirements, we moved to the cloud version of [Desktop Central]. The cloud-based version looks and feels the same as the on-premises version. Deployment was easy and the configurations previously used were migrated to the cloud. It was simple and easy. The cloud solution made it easy and seamless by allowing us to manage all of the devices in the same way we did before COVID and eliminated the need to be on the corporate network all the time.
