Jira Service Desk On-Demand

Jira Service Desk On-Demand is a cloud-based help desk software that, when integrated with EventLog Analyzer, enables IT and security teams to track, analyze, and manage security incidents efficiently—without leaving the Jira Service Desk interface. This seamless integration enhances your workflow and enables faster incident response.

Before you begin:

  • Download and install ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer if you haven't deployed it yet.
  • If you're an existing user, ensure that EventLog Analyzer is updated to its latest version. The integration with Jira Service Desk On-Demand is supported from build number 12550 and above.

Steps to Integrate EventLog Analyzer with Jira Service Desk On-Demand

  1. Log in to Jira as an admin.
  2. Download the EventLog Analyzer application from the Atlassian Marketplace.
  3. In the top navigation bar, under the Apps drop-down, click EventLog Analyzer.
  4. On the page that opens, click the Integrate Now! button.

  6. Enter the URL of the server where EventLog Analyzer is running in the respective URL field.

Open EventLog Analyzer and generate an AuthToken using these steps with the following scopes: "alertprofiles.read, devices.update, incidents.export.create, incidents.export.read, incidents.update, product.details.read, ticketingtool.configuration.read, ticketnotification.update, workflows.execute, workflows.read".
  9. Copy the AuthToken and navigate back to Jira to paste the copied AuthToken in the AuthToken field and click Next.
  10. EventLog Analyzer will be successfully configured. You can edit the configuration settings later if needed.

  12. Admins will have access to the configuration page by default. Associated users will only have access to the Tickets window.

  14. To associate users, open the Associate Users tab in the configuration section and select the users.

  • Alert-specific operations will only be available in tickets raised from EventLog Analyzer build number 12550 and above.
